Question/Problem about tile passability

Hello! I recently purchased High Fantasy Mega Bundle and it's great! I will use it in my new project. It's gonna be huge!

I have one question regarding tiles. I think that this image will on the best way explain my problem with tiles:



As you can see, i added STAR attribute to the upper part, so player can go behind it. But when player is standing in front of this well (or whatever this graphic is) his head is chopped. Is there any way to fix this? This is how i setup this tile in database:

The star indicated that the tile is ABOVE the player graphic, rather than in front of, so a player graphic that is more than one tile tall is passing his head underneath the "layer" the star is on.

The easiest way to fix your issue is to change the center two stars to Xs. The player will still be able to walk "behind" the well, but his head won't be cut off in the front. If you have your heart set on walking behind the well at that point rather than a little further back, I vaguely remember a script that deals with such things. I don't remember much about it, not even what Maker it was for; I stumbled across it a long time ago and didn't bookmark it (which leads me to believe it might have been a VX script). But some searching might reveal it. Try searching "RPGMaker passability script" or something to that effect?

Included with the high fantasy pack is also a script that changes the display for those cases - probably that is the script that eigwayne remembers, and you won't find it on the master script list because it's already part of the HF-packs that need it.


The script isn't perfect and mainly deals with a few other problems due to the spritesize of the HF-Packs, so I suggest changing the center tiles to X as mentioned above as well.

OMG I really didn't saw that script :D LOL

Let's pray that it won't cause problems wit other scripts xD
