Questions about Plugin for larger tile sizes

Hello everybody,

i have two mainly legal questions about a plugin i made for MZ...
It allows to use tile sizes larger than 64x64, would come in 3 versions (might remake them into one), with max tilesize of 128x128, 256x256 and 512x512 respectively. It overwrites parts of RMMZ_core, changing things only slightly, so is mostly RMMZ code...

The questions i have:
- would it be legal to give out such a plugin for free
- what licences could i use for these
