After putting in the DLC sets, I've noticed that there appears to be only one space left for "User Defined Weapon 6", when I created a dummy Weapons4 page the default max didn't change as it did when the DLC was incorporated.

Is there a way to change the amount of weapon graphics allowed or is 30 the limit all together?

I just want someone to make a script that allows you to once again use icons at the graphics for the weapons. all side view battle systems before used the icon of the sword for how the weapon looks when swung. If someone wanted to use a universal weapon icon, whoever makes this script could make a note tag that lets you pick the icon to use

I know MV didnt come with any good icons for this but very soon we will most likely have many more icons to choose from. my icon sheet I customly put together in Ace was 384 x 12000. Lots of icons.

The only problem with using icons is that they are very small, especially compared to the size of the battlers. The weapon sheets offer more flexibility as you can make your own, and they can be as big as you want them to be. Icons though will always be the same small size (unless a plugin is made which changes this).

I'm definitely liking the weapons sheets. Not enjoying the limit. I'm sure there will be a plugin that breaks this limit and allows you to select the graphic via tags here very soon. It's going to be in high demand from the users who love customization and depth.

We have to wait for the smoke to clear though. The release set off a bit of an explosion on the forum. I'm sure degica and the community are busting their butts to fix things first, then we'll move into the new plugins. I think that's why they are currently not allowing us to post custom ones just yet.

The weapon sheet would also be valuable with more frames. Even basic follow-throughs and anticipation frames are almost impossible to do with only 3 frames to work with. I'd say 4 should be the bare minimum, ideally 5 or 6.

Also, not being able to control the speeds of animation or frames outside of spritesheets is a bummer. Melody scripts allowed you to use RM's own animation tool to handle animated battlers, which made controlling their animations fairly easy.

(emoticons and state anims were also handled with the Animations tab. It's mind-boggling and hardly user-friendly why any animated aspect of the engine wouldn't be handled with the animation tool.)

More frames on the weapons sheet would require more programming to make use of them, and possibly more character frames on the battler sprites.

I'm going to close this. Can someone please take a look and see if there's already a plugin request for more weapon animations, and if not (and if you WANT more), go ahead and make a request? In the JS Plugin Requests folder, of course :)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
