Quick VX Ace to XP Script Conversion

This would require you to reserve two terrain tags, since XP doesn't have regions. Are you happy to do that?


ps ... it is not going to be a "quick" script conversion. XP's scripts are very large and cumbersome, and they don't even have the methods that need to be overridden. It will be more work, and a larger script, than the one for Ace.

Hmm. I didn't know that doing such a conversion would be a such bother. I'll continue looking around for alternatives to converting the script. I think I'll cancel this topic.

It's not a "bother" - I just said it's not going to be "quick" because XP is harder to modify than Ace.


You also didn't answer my question. How many things are you already using terrain tags for? There are only 7 of them, and porting this script would use up 2.

I'm sorry. I misunderstood what you were saying, but I understand now. I'm not using any terrain tags, and due to the nature of the game I'm creating, I won't need to use anymore. Thank you for asking.

I just found an alternative to using a diagonal movement script for my staircases. My method is using automatic stair climbing. This method actually fits my game better. You can continue to make the script for the sake of others who might need it, but I no longer need it. Sorry for discovering this late and for your trouble. Thank you for your help.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
