Quickly combine individual icons into a single sheet

Are there any programs that will let me take X number of individual image files and easily combine them into a single file with all the images automatically put together in a grid that I can then use as an iconset for RPG Maker (specifically MV)?

I don't think there's a third-party program for that. Even if it exists, there would be some sort of rules regarding each individual image you want to attach. The best way would be to use GIMP or Photoshop to make your own. Think that, if you want to work on your project you need to, you know, work on your project.

So, all the individual images are exactly the same size as a single tile, just individual instead of on a sheet?  I think a program could do this but I don't know of one.  Because of the way that RM works it's best to keep the iconset as small as possible anyway, so you may want to do it individually anyway.  Large iconsets slow things way down.

Yeah, that's pretty much the size of it. To be honest, I probably won't actually need it for the project I'm working on, but the thought occurred to me, and it was a bit surprising that I couldn't find anything that would do this when I tried a search.

Yeah, when I think about it, it is pretty surprising.  I think I've come across something that would take an animated gif and turn it into a sprite sheet, but I can't think of anything that would do what you say.  It probably does exist somewhere.  Try looking for something that compiles sprite sheets, that's going to be your best bet.

Yanfly has an Icon Generator that does approximately this, i think? Plus you get the added bonus of making your own icons so that's a plus!

Yanfly Icon Generator can create icons, but you can't add Icons of your own in the generator. 


You have to edit the iconsheet afterward to use your owns icons.
