They look cute. In a unforeboding halloween costume kinda way. 8.5/10

There's an obvious lack of shading, but you can tell what is what, and it's cool that it has a walking shadow. I'd be interested in seeing what environments said character would be walking around in to see if it checks out.

The lack of shading was a stylistic choice to match that of the MOTHER/Earthbound series. I've updated them a bit since I made this post to use colors closer to Earthbound's, but it I'm not sure how they look...
I don't really have any custom tilesets yet, I've mostly just been making ugly placeholder maps to test out my scripts in-game.

Thanks to the dark lines, you can see enough detail to see both the end of the hood and the hair poking through. I personally really like it, and am looking forward to seeing the sprite in action in a complimentary setting. Surely let us know when you are that far along!

It's difficult to rate sprites without any background assets to put them into context. People might look at some earthbound-style sprites and think they're unpolished but they can easily look nice in-context.

Also the link leads to a blank page. I can only see a blurry preview

Uh, crap. I'll fix it later.
