Is there a way to set how much of the map the minimap is showing?

@Sil8nt there is, you can set that in the mapnotetag, and use the %
on how much it showed, 100% is full image, 50% is half, 25% a quarter
depending how much you want to show in zoom level or not.

just play around, make sure the x and y are the same values, 25, 25.

@jimbo1111 it is in the map properties box. You get that when you create a new map (where you set the size and tileset). On an existing map, right-click and edit.

Could you please explain to me how to access the fabled 'map note tags'?
Just to briefly supplement what Shaz explained - you'll see that on every editing window you can pull up. Maps, events, and every entry in the database has a Notes field.

You can, of course, type any notes you need to track into these. A "notetag" is a specially structured syntax inside of angled brackets that allows the engine to access what you typed in its code: <thusly>

Hi.
I would like to know if it has the function of the map to remain stationary and be displayed in its entirety and only the green dot (Player) to move?
I would like to leave some ideas for the plugin.
Put an icon on the map in red that could be turned on/off with events.
And add a mode fade.

This is awesome! One question, is it possible to make the minimap bigger in total size? When trying to use a bigger mask for the UI the minimap ends up misaligned. If it is hard coded does anyone know which code line sets the height/width?

It's a wonderful plugin and it's working fine in my MZ game!

But I'm having an issue:

I'm trying to show an image on the screen... so, in the event, I tried to turn off the map switch, show the image, erase the image and turn on the map switch... but the map was still there.

I noticed if I turn off the map in an event, the map remains on until I finish that event.

Is there a way to solve it?

the transfer part for not showing the map and showing the map.

Yep! I'm using the switch... I can put for example... 2 events... one to turn on the map... and one to turn off... and it works... putting on and off in that switch...

The problem is...

In one event... I want something like...

Code:
- Turn map switch off
- show An image in full screen
- Turn map switch on

And it doesn't work.

because the map only process the switch after I exit the event =(

that might be because it cannot render it, so place 1 waitframe, or
if you want to buffer it better, 20 wait frames, between the switch
and picture showing/erasing and the last switch so it can render it.

another option if that doesn't work, use a selfswitch in between and
a new page. (it's best if you play around with it though), and if that
doesn't work, than there might be a update function to it, to make
it work. but I cannot help you at this point.

Great! A wait of 20 frames solved my problem! =D thanks so much!

anytime :) good luck with your project.

Just keep in mind, that wait is sometime necessary
( for most cases, its between 1 and 5, other times 10-20),
dont be affraid to play around that works best for you :)

Hello, is it possible to use this plugin as a map item, and then trigger an event that will show the map full (and your location) taking up the entire screen rather than a minimap?

I pretty much copy and pasted Rabbitmap, Ocram core, Ocram movement, and MBS map zoom into my game, same settings and I get this error when starting game:

the demo version is a HYBRID so RMMZ cores with MV execution
in order to work to see how it works.

it ON and OFF.

can set event icons as well.

RMMZ plugins wont work in MV, you could try RETRO plugin that convert
MZ to MV plugins, but other MZ plugins also target MV plugin in oder to work.

most Ocram MV plugins has it core inside it, while Ocram MZ is seperated.
MZ has a small different structure than MV, so some function dont exist,
but the language is the same.

Hey rabbit your plugin is awesome, probably the best minimap plugin I could find for MZ.
Unfortunately I'm having problems with it, I'm making a mobile game and whenever I test the game in XCode the game crashes because it can't find the "maps" folder.
When I test the game directly on the RPG Maker testing mode the game works normally, but when i open it in XCode these crashes occur, I don't know if the problem is in XCode or if the plugin can't transfer the maps folder when i create a distribution package for IOS.
Is there any way to change where the images for the minimap are stored? I'd like to be able to store the images in the "Pictures" folder, that way I probably wouldn't have any problems creating a distribution package.

Just going to use stationary water for the randomized maps. Sure, particles would look cool... But this is about compromising and not spending countless hours making the perfect water particle for each set piece with water. :kaoswt:
Maybe I should get rid of the Banish ability in my game. It's a non-elemental spell that doesn't even appear in the magic chart. It's only there because my Elementalist doesn't use light or dark magic. It only effects summoned creatures.

I've been redoing all of the major areas in my game. starting with a place called Century Park. thankfully because all of the locations are distorted memories, I can make these places pretty abstract.
