Hello, my name is Jake, and I've been working on my game, Rainbow Dawn for a little over a year now.

Engine: RPG Maker MV.
Synopsis:
One day, you find yourself trapped in a dream state. You can't remember anything about yourself, where you came from, and why you've been asleep for so long. Once you wake up, you realize that the entire world has been cleansed of all human souls..! At least, so you are told by your fairy companion, Hope. You need to find other signs of human life if you wish to survive, if there are any left. However... people may have still had regrets before they passed, and it's up to you to fulfill them.. or not. Synopsis:

Rainbow Dawn is a turn-based RPG with fairly simple mechanics. One aspect that does set it apart is a weapon swapping system: allowing you to switch weapons mid-battle by using skills. This can give you an advantage in battles!
There is also a focus on stat lowering skills, which can also help take down difficult enemies.
In Rainbow Dawn, you explore a open world, full of treasures and secrets, and help solve peoples dying wishes for items and experience points. It's heavily inspired by the freedom that I found while playing games such as Breath of the Wild and Pokemon Crystal Clear, where I felt that the entire world was open to exploring at my own pace.
As this is my first full game, the open world is not incredibly large, and it's not meant to be a 60 hour epic.
It should take anywhere from 4-6 hours to complete.

Here are some screenshots of what I've done so far!

I have reached a point where the game is almost 75% done, but I have an issue.
While the story and most of the maps are done, I am struggling with the battle system.
I am not someone who has any experience with balancing and enemy design, and while I have the enemy sprites done (I put a few examples down below), I've been struggling with making the battle system feel balanced and fair, especially in a open world game.

If anyone would be willing to help with me this, I would be grateful beyond belief, as it's something that is preventing me from finishing the game, and in all honesty, I've been on the verge of giving up on it, as it's something that I have been struggling to do for the past 2 months.

So, what would you be doing if you decide to join this project?
My role: I've done everything else, spriting, map making, story, etc!
I need help with 2 main things, but the main thing I need help with is the gameplay. AKA: the RPG elements. I need someone that would be able to help with these things:

I need help with 2 main things, but the main thing I need help with is the gameplay. AKA: the RPG elements. I need someone that would be able to help with these things:
- Enemy design. This would involve helping to stat enemies: and also tweak some of the enemies I've created to be balanced for the player. While I have the skills for enemies finished, I may need some of them tweaked in order to make the battles more fun and interesting: especially the boss battles. While I have the ideas for these boss battles figured out, I need someone who can actually make it happen.
- Stat Balancing. This is the most important thing I need help with. This would involve tweaking stats and enemies to feel fair to the player, as the enemies level up with the player at the moment (although, that may change.) This would also mean helping with how skills are handled. I have the base skills already made, but I would need help making them feel balanced and fun to use. For example, I need help with equipment and stat bonuses as well, as I'm really having trouble making it feel balanced and fair. This would also involve battle testing.
If you are interested in helping with Rainbow Dawn, you can comment on this thread or send me a message! Thank you so much.
