okay so, i'm making a scene using   Basic game time script!

Every night you can come and choose one out of three diffrent blessings

and each night the blessings SHOULD change here let me explain:

you choose heal blessing! self switch d is on and now all she says is come back tomarrow!

you don't get a diffrent blessing till tomarrow.

now the first problem is, how to i make it every night you can get a new one

The second probelm, i got 3 sets of 3 blessings. each night they SHOULD change but i don't know how!

How to i randomize the switches???

p.s im a noob :p please make a simple answer

What you're talking about sounds like eventing, not scripting - scripting is using ruby programming knowledge to change the engine inside the script editor.

And the script forum is for displaying finished scripts you've written yourself, that's why this is moderated.

I've moved this thread to Ace Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Please post screenshots of the events as you have them, then we can check how to complete and correct them.

In a nutshell:

Control Variable - set a variable (we'll call it RAND) to random number between 1 and 3.

Conditional Branches within Conditional Branches - You basically make a Conditional Branch that says if RAND == 1, do blessing A. Have that Conditional Branch have an "else" and within the else put another Conditional Branch that says if RAND == 2, do blessing B. This one needs an "else" also, where you put your last Conditional Branch set to if RAND == 3, do blessing C.

If I understand you right you said there are three sets of three, so for each of those Conditional Branches you would actually have to have 3 more inside of it with its own randomly generate Variable.

What I've described here is how handle any sort of "random" stuff in my game, mostly for Treasure Chests with random items in them. Its tedious to set up if you have lots of possible outcomes, but I don't know of any other way to do it.

Hope this helps! Let me know if it doesn't make sense (in this thread or PM), sometimes I'm not the best at explaining things.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
