besides copy and pasting every time you replace a stock enemy with one you make yourself,

how do you or can you get around copy and pasting from bottom to top in the database to get your new enemies

from lightest to heaviest...?     If there isn't a simpler way it's okay, but you would think you might be able

to reorder the database .. resort it...?

I'm sure that there is a way, but it would require hacking the database file, which could be tricky.

Personally, I would just roll up my sleeves and do what you are suggesting.

If we're talking about MV, you can open the Enemies.json file in a text editor and manually change the IDs - maybe even write a small program that reads the data from the file and changes the IDs according to MaxHP or something. That might be more work than it's worth, though.

Anyway, if you want to try and edit the json file, make sure you have a backup! ;)

@Ancientspark74 you should be extremely carefull about copying database entries after you started developing the game itself.

Most of the engine works based on the ID, which means that a troop contains "enemy with ID x" or a chest contains "weapon with ID y".

Moving or sorting the items in the database will change their ID (which is the entry number of the database), so if you made a troop with for example enemy ID=15 and that is a bat, and then you resort the database so that the fifteenth entry is now the demon king, then the troop will suddenly contain the demon king instead of the bat.

If you only sort the enemies while you create the database, before creating the troops or the game - no problem.

If you sort after you started the story, maps, fights and so on -> big mess and a lot of work to get everything right again.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
