If you are still at the stage where you have to ask where to put a script, then could I suggest that an ABS script is possibly not for you at the moment.  They are among the more difficult to configure, and so are not best suited to people who are still getting to grips with the fundamentals.

My suggestion would be to spend some time learning what the engine can do, and then think about which battle system to implement.  You will have a much clearer idea of what you want, what you need (those two things are not automatically the same) and what is within your skill grade.  If you follow the link in Andar's signature, you will find a treasure trove of information for people new to the engine.  It is really worth while spending time on the fundamentals now in order to save yourself a ton of time and frustration later on.

I've moved this thread to RGSS3 Script Requests. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Please provide more of an explanation of what you are wanting. The first post provides no details as to what you're after. People can only help you when they know what you need. Making them guess won't get you anywhere fast.

You might consider looking for a script that comes with a demo. That way the project will already have the script in the right place and you can use it as a basis for your own game, adding your own content. That is, unless you've already made a start on your game and it would be difficult or take too much time to port your maps and database across to another project.

What is wasting time?

Learning the basics of an engine is never wasting time.

The link in my signature goes to a tutorial that describes how to start best and how to get everything as fast as possible - and if you really follow that and work through those tutorials, then you'll need to invest about a month for that, before you even start on your own game.

If you consider that as wasting time - then sorry, game development probably is nothing for you. Because everyone who ever got even halfway into their game confirmed that this way is the best way to start in the long term.

real time combat systems (or action battle systems, ABS as they're called here) are NEVER "easy to use". They require a lot of configuration, and you need to know what that configuration is about to understand it. There are four or five different ABS scripts available, and that is true for all of them.

The first thing you have to do is to read through the link I gave you above. Here is it again: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/40589-how-to-use-a-script/

Until you understand that tutorial, forget about using an ABS script.

After that, you should be able to find the other ABS scripts by searching the forum for the correct terms.

Picking your battle system is only one small part of making a game.  Even in battle you will need to know other things like how to make your skills and states, both for actors and enemies, how to do your stats etc. etc.  And there is a huge amount of things you will need to be able to do to make a game beyond what happens on the battle screen, so it is not a waste of time to learn how to do them.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
