I understand that you upload tilesets through the resource manager then go to tilesets in the database to upload them. I am uloading Celianna's tiles atm and they are all fitting in their appropriate slots wonderfully and it all looks great. However, I have two questions:

1) What exactly do all of the options on this menu do? I can't seem to figure this bit out. I am referring to the stuff like "Passage" or "Passage (4 dir)" or "ladder" etc.

2) Is therer a quick way to set all tiles in a tab to an X or O or star? For my understanding, the circle = character passes on top of like ground, X = impassable like buildings and the star = character passes underneath. Is there a way to quickly set the whole tab to one of those?

Thanks for any help!

1) There are different type of passage settings

Passage: this is for the O,X or star... which is basically, whether a tile is passable or not

Passage 4 dir: this is the passage that takes into account  the direction of movement (like if you can move to a tile from below it or not)

example:

a tile with O passability, and a 4 dir setting in which the left and right arrow are disabled means that the tile is passable but only when you're moving vertically (up or down)

and so on, better try them out or read some tutorials... maybe the maker has some hint too when you hover around the buttons or in the help file...

2) Nope... at least not dynamically... because you can always make a "base tileset" and populate it with your desired passage setting, and copy-paste it when creating a new tileset...

If you hover the mouse above one of the buttons on the right side and wait a few seconds, a hint will appear that tells you about the function of that button.

That goes for 99% of the elements in the editor, there are only a few buttons or areas where the hint doesn't exist or isn't displayed after a few seconds of not moving the mouse

Hint; set my tileset to 'VX compatible' since that is what it was made for.
Great suggestion, thank you. I will try this out and take into account all of the other recommendations as well. Thanks for the quick and thorough replies!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
