As the topic clearly states, I really need a new pair of headphones, but I have my conditions too @@

- Price range below 40$

- Over ear headphones only

- I want mid range headphones, not high bass

Here is my current headphone (It hurts me to see this ;_; )

As you can see, the cushion on the left is going to tear apart soon. The cushion on the right is starting to lose it's leather too.

On the right side of the headphone, you can see here that I literally took a thread and a needle to sew this up to make sure it won't tear apart. Yes, this side tore apart as well. It won't last long though by the looks of it!

On the left side, it's starting to rip, it's bad news for me really. It will most probably end up like the one on the left side...
The thing is, I can buy replacements, but since the brand of this headphone (Edifier) is not so famous, getting it's replacement is quite troublesome.

So... I'd rather try out a new headphone instead. With the conditions stated above, I am thinking of this:

http://www.amazon.com/PIONEER-Enclosed-Dynamic-Headphones-SE-M521/dp/B00IBQI1W4/ref=sr_1_4?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1427295379&sr=1-4&keywords=over+ear+headphones

It's not so high bass and the price seems fine.

Of course, this isn't the only headphone available in the market, so I want to know if there are better ones. Thanks @@

Skullcandy huh? Thought this was usually just for fashion!

But the budget is beyond what I needed! >_<

I'll be on a lookout if I see this though.

Oh by the way, soon I'll be heading to Korea and my dad insisted I should get my new headphones there (Though I am hyper reluctant to do that because I don't remember hearing Korea has great local headphones) and I am going to Seoul by the way so just in case anyone was at Korea before and found great headphones there, notify me @w@

I wish I could effort one of these. Only listen test in a shop once, they have absolut perfect sound. <3
And in all tests they got scores beyond 90% or 1 - 2 in grades. ;)
The treble is very good and doesn't swallow stuff like many headphones are doing.
The bass is powerful, but not that it's only bass in it.
The midrange is often a problem with to silent or not even really there, not so with these.

All in all I can recommend and if it would be a week earlier I could have buyed one too. -.-
But well if you need new anyway, you really should buy it. It's the best on the market. :) (\s/)

Maybe I'll find one day and visit a Sennheiser store to try these babies out :D I usually listen to Vocaloid, EDM and Classical so I hope this fits the bill!

Those are what I use. Super cheap, and I while I have a tendency to destroy headphones (honestly, I don't know what it is, but I went through 3 pairs in a year once. I mean, the volume on my computer is barely over 20-30% most of the time), these have lasted me a good long year and a half. Not only that, but I've pretty much put them through shock treatment that no pair of headphones should ever go through. Dropped on concrete, wires yanked, etc. and still work perfectly.

If you're doing a simple comparison, though, say Beats sound twice as good. That's fine, but they cost 10 times as much. Now, if you ask me, that's not cost effective at all. These will most certainly give you bang for your buck, and they'll last through abuse - which is the really important part.

These are on ear headphones. I'm not a huge fan of these kinda of headphones. For me, I didn't like it much because I always have the feeling of it may drop off my head. Plus, I tried these before and I was like "Hm yeah it's just okay..." so I'll pass this.

These are the ones I've got and they've been really great so far. Had them for more than a year (possibly 2) and they have not let me down yet. Plus they're very cheap.

Another Sennheiser to fight to the top >_< Well now this is certainly cheaper, I wonder how it'll sound like though...

Well, how does the Hesh 2 sound specifically? I'm more interested in Mid Range headphones, headphones with too high bass that consumes the music itself kinda sucks for me so how's the Hesh 2?

And thanks, the sig image was made by KDS, thanks to him :3

They have an excellent range of all frequencies. I DJ and produce music (occasionally) and they are able to provide a nice clear sound whatever im listening to, also, im always listening to music, like right now, im listening to this...

Ah, so the headphones do take these levels of frequencies, I see, fits the bill there. Would be great to listen to Vocaloid where their voices are extremely high pitch and suddenly hit Joe Hisaishi's classical music with very beautiful and crisp sounds.

I play piano, so I would love headphones that would go well with it. Also, my current headphones aren't really broken. It's just the paddings, but I needed a change anyway. That's why I didn't want a very strong bass headphone, I'm no hyper dubstep fan XD

Vocaloid... I hate that stuff.. My little sister loves it though, and I'm sure she would agree my headphones are awesome :D

Honestly, I cant wait till they brake and I can go buy a new pair <3  Gonna get red ones with a gold lining next (I have the pure black ones as linked in the image above) :D

Ouch, I really like Vocaloid... ;_;

Well, at least next time when I see this headphone, I'll consider it! I'll have to test it myself of course.

Wow, almost like a battle between Sennheiser and Skullcandy.

Though I'm more interested in Sennheiser because I kinda trust them, Skullcandy seems like a decent competitor as well. A lot to consider here.

Well, once I buy my cans, I'll report here and give my thoughts about it @@

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
