Sennheiser and Skullcandy are both good so no matter which of the two you go with, it's cool :)

I have tested some headphones stated above. Here's what I think. I shall put my headphone to go against whatever I have tested. Let's go.

Song I used to test :

Why this song? : I wanted to be fair on this. I want something that isn't so bassy until it kills the music. With my Edifier H850, it does just that. It isn't very bassy, it's balanced. Crisp sounds and just nice. I can hear vocals very beautifully and all sounds are perfect. Yes, this will be my argument vs any headphones I am going to compare with.

Edifier H850 vs Skullcandy Hesh 2

So there was this place where the Skullcandy Hesh was just hanging there for me to try it out. And so I did. First off, design. Well it looks decent and it feels solid. I'd say it's cool. Next up, comfort. Well, I prefer oval shaped cups, but this one is okay. It's not clamping me too hard and it feels just nice. Now for the sound. The moment I put the music on, few moments later I put the headphones back...

The bass is very punchy. It consumes the music a bit and then is a no no for me. Like I have stated, I don't want headphones with punchy bass. Sure I can feel the sound quality is nice, but when the bass is so strong until it consumed the music.

The winner here is Edifier H850, sorry Hesh :/

Edifier H850 vs Sennheiser HD 449

First off, I will point out that Sennheiser 449 exceeds my budget. I won't buy this because it's pricey although it is 40$. That's pricey for me :/ Anyway, About the design. Well, what did I expect? It's okay. It's not really beautiful or anything really. The build quality seems light and I feel like I can throw it around because it feels very light. It has oval shaped cups, so it fits well for me.

I put the music on and was quite impressed. The sounds were just right and the bass isn't punchy. But there were two fatal flaws.

Number one is the price. My Edifier H850 costed me RM99 (Or 26.91$) which when you compare it to this, 40$. When the sound quality is pretty much quite close, I would actually choose Edifier instead because of the price.

Number two, the vocals. When I listened to the song, the vocals were not as great as how the Edifier H850 performed. Sure the sounds were great and I could actually call it a tie, but with these 2 flaws, I would still say...

The winner here is once again the Edifier H850. Seriously Sennheiser, you lost too?!

Of course, I'm not done here. I have yet to try the HD428 from Sennheiser. Also, I see a new contender.

http://www.amazon.com/Superlux-681-Dynamic-Semi-Open-Headphones/dp/B002GHIPYI/ref=sr_1_10?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1427611673&sr=1-10&keywords=sennheiser

Yes, the Superlux. I heard it's good too for a cheap headphone, but I need to know more. Anyone owns the headphones above? Tell me more about it.

P.S. Honestly, I can't believe my headphone trumps over such powerful brands. I was surprised really. I was expecting more from the expensive headphones honestly. I tried both head to head on the spot. Switching from headphone to headphone. The biggest strength on my headphone is definitely it's price tag. For a cheap headphone, it dishes out a 100$ headphone sound, maybe even more. I remember comparing my headphones to Logitech UE6000. That was the first headphone that I felt that blew me away while I owned the Edifiers. But when I looked at the price tag, sweet dreams... 115$ for it?! (RM600 approx). Damn, that's 6 times the price for a slight improvement!

No hard feelings or anything, I don't like to lie and I have judged very carefully while paying high attention to the sound. I guess each person has their own favorite headphones hm? @@

Beats by Dr Dre would be my top pick here.
I would like to remind you that I am not looking for a very bassy headphone. Beats is very bassy and expensive. I don't think it'll even fit my budget at the first place and I tried them before and personally didn't like it too much so it's a no go for me. ^^;

These might not be available in where you live, but look at those Gaming headsets. Wow. They just might be too expensive >_<, but those headsets looks like "Gamer's Treasure" to me though, lol.

Beats are known for being absolute crap and that you basically pay for the name :p

@Hahn - Really surprised that you feel your current headphones are better than both the skullcandy hesh and senheisers. Why bother getting a new pair at all? :D

I thought I would like something new, ya know coz instead of buying a completely new but same one, why not try another brand? But yeah, I may most likely buy the same one again but at the same time, maybe I should just stick to my current one though the pads are tearing apart. Its just the skin and if the leather starts to rip off, I can sew it back with needle and thread XD But I'll see im the future what headphones are meant for me with a reasonable price tag ><

END RESULT:

http://www.lazada.com.my/audio-technica-ath-m30x-headphone-black-729238.html

I got this after saving up a scrap tonne of cash. There we go, I just had to go for them, they were excellent :) Bass doesn't overtake the sound, every sound is balanced, everything just sounds wonderful. The only weakpoints I can find is that wearing at your neck can be quite tight unless you adjust them properly. It's best if you just use it at home. I highly recommend this and of course, it always depend on the user. Anyway, thanks for every suggestion given, I finally picked up what I needed :3

I use a pair of $15 Sony earbuds. They work really well, get good sound, are easy to carry around, and are cheaply replaced.

Are they great at outside noise cancelling? Meh. But that means it's easier to be aware of what's going on around you. I've seen people almost get stuck in a burning building because all they could hear was their music.

Well it depends. If you really wanna hear the outside, just don't use headphones. They say if you allow sound to leak into your headphones, you tend to increase the volume and damage your ears while noise cancelling ones ensure the noise is isolated in your ears, therefore you don't have to raise the volume too high. Of course, it all depends on preference.

I'm one of those people who would rather just turn their music off than crank it past 60%.

Haha, I'll be honest, my headphones are usually around 20% - 30% only with the Audio Technica ATH-M30X. Last time with Edifier H850, I needed to crank it up to 40 to actually enjoy music due to sound leakage. It depends from person to person and what earphones/headphones they have.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
