Hey everyone, I'm looking for someone that is comfortable working with small numbers and Yanfly's Armor Scaling plugin. Although not a personal project, all of the main story dialogue has been written and a third of the game is already completed. If you chose to take the position, your job will be to balance the battle system so strategy and exploiting weaknesses are the key factors. In return for your help I can offer eventing help, writing, proof reading, editing, or translations from Spanish to English.

~Battle Mechanics~


    ~Weapons~
    There are three elements that are applied to certain weapons: Slashing, Piercing, & Blunt. Slashing is the basic 
    attack applied to edged weapons like swords and shields. Most weapons with the Slash attribute allow for multiple
    attacks. Pierce attacks are weaker then the other two attribute, but ignore defense. Blunt attacks are the strongest,
    but are slow and unweildly leading to more misses. Physical skills, like Thrust or Heavy Swing, are tied to the 
    actual weapons rather then learning them through leveling. All 10 characters will have at least two weapons assigned
    to them to allow a varity of stretagies to be used between them.
    Weapons can be upgraded through Rune Augments to increase stats, add elements or status attributes.



    ~Skills & Magic~
    Skills & magics are tied to weapons, armour, and accessories. Certains skills and magics can be learned by a third
    party, but will only be available to learn be limited amount of times. Physical skills have cooldowns and cannot be
    used back to back to avoid spamming and encourage stretagy. Magics have the standard magic bar with certain spells 
    needing certain requirments like items or certain weapons are equipped.



    ~Battle Goddess Favor~
    A certain item can allow the Battle Goddess to grant extra rewards for following or completeing certain tasks. 
    "Battle Laws" can range from defeating the enemies in a certain amount of time to not using certain skills.
    Rewards like Rune Augments, Rare Items, and Gold can only be earned this way.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
