Hey people!

My apologies, if this section isn't the right one to request things. I'm using VX ace.

1. So recently I've been trying to make a slenderman-based games, but I can't seem to get any legit scary slenderman sprites.

I have tried to make pixel arts but trust me, I suck at it and it'll take centuries just to finish a game... I have Googled it and found two of these (links at the very bottom) but not very creepy looking. I'd like tall and big, yet slender sprites. It's fine if you give me the XP sprites I can make it compatible with VX ace. Thanks!

2. This game is like Ao Oni, where the slenderman chases you until some time passes or kills you. I would like some cool and simple scripts that improves the player-following system, so not like you hide behind the table and you're safe. Basically, I want the enemy to 'follow you smart'.

I've read some threads here by using variables, I am not that much of a beginner of VX ace but variables are the only things I'm stuck on. So if you have to use variables I'd appreciate detail explains. Thanks!

3. Also I'd like to input a step-counter system, so each step the player takes it counts as 1 and adds up to the total steps. If you gotta use variables please make it easy to understand as I said above...Thanks! I need it so it's easier to make events.

For those who can help me out, thank you so much. Don't forget I will put your username on the ending credits of the game.

Again, thanks! ;D

How tall I want the sprites to be: http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/053/b/f/slenderman___rpg_sprites_by_lagoon_sadnes-d5vtfzj.png

How I want it to look like: (its...insanely thankful if you can do a whole sheet for me...) http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/280/e/4/slender_man_sprites____rpg_maker_vx__by_fayeyo-d5h4xvm.png

With regards to number 3 on your list..

I am pretty sure you can use the script call

$game_party.stepsto find out the total steps your party has made.

Edit:

when this call is used it simply returns the number of total steps taken.

There is a game "variables guide" where you play a student in an academy teaching how to use variables, and you can open that game in the editor to check how each step was done. This "variables guide" is one of several tutorials linked in my "Starting Point" topic, just follow the link in my signature.
As of the steps - you don't need the script call Dekita described to get that number, you can also use an event command, "Control Variable" and then select the "game data" option - the step counter is one of several dozen options under Game Data. Other options are the numbers for HP and MP for each actor or the number of battles the party was in and more...

Unfortunately though, either if I misunderstood you or I'm doing it wrong. I'd like the step counts to be on the menu screen like this one at the left bottom corner above 'yen'. http://media.moddb.com/images/games/1/19/18260/Party.png

I set the event command as autorun and I did put the delete event temporary, thingy...In any cases, thanks for the reply!

Thanks! That really helps...a lot..

Oh and note to moderators/administrators, if I don't get any more replies/answers on the thread longer than a week you're free to close it. Pow!

Actually, I'm closing it now :) Whatever you're after, you're in the wrong forum, and it's never good to post "my list of everything I need" in a single topic.

If you want to 'recruit' people to help you, there's a Recruitment forum.

If you are after sprites, there's a Resource Requests forum.

If you are after scripts, there's an RGSS3 Script Requests forum.

Please post each thing you need in its own topic in the appropriate area, and help us keep the forum organized :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
