New Storyline - I did a whole revamp of my idea and ran it past our devs, and it looks sparkly, but is far from pristine and finished. Expect further honing.
Art - We now have an alternate cover art and our artist is quick at work with the rest of the artsy stuff. Expect more late December, early January.
Map development - Unbeknownst to you guys, we actually have our first 'mini dungeon' mapped out, as well as the starter town and a few other areas, and more is along the way!
Screen shots?! - Screen shots of the Early, Early, Early Alpha Build will be released early January. Expect sparkles.
Kickstarter? - Nah. After a bit of discussion and thought, we have decided that we will not Kickstart this game, or make it commercial. Our first title will be free. Others? Might not be, we'll see.

We still need Beta Testers, Scripters, Eventists and Writers, so keep applying. Other positions are on case-by-case basis. Feel free to apply, but some may be filled entirely already.
We now currently have a Facebook page! As asked by the Dev team, I have set up a Facebook page to keep others up to date more often. Updates will still be monthly on the forums! Facebook users, give us a like to keep up-to-date on the progress of the game as it goes on (likely twice a week for updates), photos and videos! The link to the facebook page is down below!
Demo coming along well! Likely will be only a few more weeks before a demo is available. All that is required to complete for a working Alpha Demo is the monsters, UI, script system and eventing! The script systems (battle systems, bazaar system, etc) will likely be what takes the longest.
New Map-To-Map setting for exploration without that annoying World Map transfer! Fayte Gates, which function like warp crystals, allow the player to swiftly teleport to other discovered (and activated) Fayte Gates. Thank the goddess, that might have been a long walk!
Bazaar system! We now have a bazaar system. The concept revolves around trading in items to a merchant and then purchasing improved items, stronger weapons and better armors! One such recipe is for the High Potion, which requires 5 Potions and 1 Aelas Leaf, which you get from searching the sparkly points on trees, bushes and some vines.
Remodled Storyline! Some redundancies in the story have been changed. You won't see any of this until you play the game, but they are there!
Unfortunately, thanks to work issues, I will be unable to contribute to the workload, but fear not! Those looking forward to the game can expect it around the designated time, since our developers have volunteered to take the load off of me until I can find myself a new job! Mapping, scripting, artistry, music... all of this will proceed as planned. All I'll end up having to do when I have the time to spare is to put it all together into the project file.
New message appearance! We are using the bust-in-text system, and it is looking good!
Version v.0.0.1 is almost finished! This version will only contain the opening sequence to the game. Once it is tested by myself and my development team and then looked over by our beta testers for final thoughts, it will be added to the demo's progress. Note: Demo Versions start at v0.1, so this is basically saying we are about 1/10th the way from having a demo ready.
Despite my issues with my job, I've been pouring in a lot of effort into the production of Hymns of Illyria, as have the rest of the Dev team. We should be churning out new updates weekly (or bi-weekly, for big updates). If you have not visited the Facebook Page for Hymns of Illyria, then do so! And make sure to keep an eye out for updates there as well as here!
