Hi guys!

New to the forum. Love the software! Just one question. Now I want to be able to use a peice of map as a reference so that I can create a really good world, really large and immersive. Is it possible to import a map and draw over it at all to try and get the look and feel of a real world.

Please see example (This was photoshoped):

Thanks for your help,

Kind regards,

MrSns

What if you were to place the map image into the Parallax folder of the database, choose said parallax for the map you are working on and check the "show parallax in editor" button? I believe that would pretty much get you exactly what you are asking for. (all of these options are done from the map properties tab.) Once you did this it would show in game as well, but for that you'd just remove the parallax option before releasing/playtesting since you'd already have drawn over it as you referenced it anyway.

Yeah, you can totally do this as Alexander described. Just put it as the parallax background and draw over it.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
