    Hi all!

I don't post too often over here, but I wanted to share some resources I dug up from my old DeviantArt drive (from many years ago!), since Rm2k/2k3 seems especially starved for unique resources. I believe these are fairly obscure tiles.

These are "spinoff" RPGMaker 2003 tile-sets in the style of Refmap graphics. I originally found them on a Japanese site where they were offered as free-to-use, although it was quite a while ago.

    Enjoy!

'General Resources' are for resources which would work in more than one engine, typically this would be things like music. These are specific, so...

I've moved this thread to RM2k/3 Resources. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

However, we will need a link to the site where these came from, or at the very least the name of the artist so that credit can be given properly. And by "free to use" is that free for commercial as well? If we know the name of the site/artist, it could well be that the thread by Slimmmeiske2 which has translated a lot of Terms of Service for Japanese sites will be able to tell us. But without that info, people should not really be using these tiles.

Thanks! I guess I need to get accustomed to the layout. There are quite a lot of sub-forums.

I'll see if I can dig up the link so we can give proper credit and such.

Edit: A reverse-image search led here as the source. I couldn't get the translation to display terms of use, but if someone wants to take a crack, the original poster's name was Calv.

I'm afraid that without the TOS we do not know if the original artist allows reposting of their resources. Do you have any indication that permission was given for that?

The ToS also needs to allow editing, some artists don't. Are these edits of the original set or are they from scratch in the same style? If they're from scratch then you can just post the pieces you made and you don't have to stress about putting it in a set.

@BlindMind You need to figure that out, or else take these down.

@Thomas Smith Thanks for your willingness to help, but it’s best to continue to let the mods handle this.

To my knowledge, all of the content posted there was free for use.

Since it looks like it was uploaded so long ago, using commercially was not even a prospect at the time, so unfortunately I haven't been able to track down any ToS. If a moderator would like me to remove these I don't mind taking them down.

Unfortunately, without proper credits we can't allow it to be posted. "Free for use" is too vague and using the translated version of that page, Calv did not provide any information when they uploaded it to that site - no way to know who originally created it or what their terms were.

I'm going to remove the images from the original post and close this thread.

Please note, we do appreciate that you want to share good quality resources and don't want to discourage that, but we have high standards about proper crediting and respecting creators' terms of use. If you take the time to find the original artist and can post them with proper credits and terms of use, please feel free to repost them.
