Huh, went in today.  Started it up, began making a little transfer to a much smaller project copying the details.  Tried it out... And... it works.  Went back and now it works on the original project too!

Very mind boggling.  However, it's working!  So false alarm.  I'll pop back in if I run into any snags when I try to get it to do more complicated multi upgrades.  But it looks good so far!

It's really a very neat script that will be very useful.  Thank you!

I will also add that, at first using the multi one did not work for me.  And at first I coded each new map with it's own region code.  Apparently when changing the features to that of the other map it does *not* bring over the region numbers.  They all still stay the same.  So!  In the end I put exactly the same region code on all 6 of my maps. And it works.  So my numbers look like.

<regionmap 1,2,1;1,3,2;1,4,3;>  And so on.  Notice the region code being exactly the same in all of them. 

Course maybe mine is just being weird!  I dunno!

  • Can this be used inside battles? If so how?

Can this be used with Tsukihime's Overlay Maps? That could be some cool combinations.
and speaking of overlays I am using VE-Fogs and Overlays. How could I make multiple region parts appear sort of "stacked" to form different pieces of a house or farm or furniture for example?

It should work in battles turn the switch on and calling $game_map.refresh

I have no idea about the other questions. You could test them and find out.

I am getting this script to work but I am getting weird shadows (random columns of shadow like drawn with the shadow pen, only I didn't do that) that pop all over different maps when I use this script.  When I delete it, the weird shadows go away.  Tried the $game_map.refresh script call.  I don't know if another script is doing this or if this is a known issue with this script.

hey i need help wiith this Formar map region script

so here i set it up on my main map i do the note tag <1,8,2>  

1= region

8= copy map

2= switch 

and i do my region 1 over the library for a test lets say 

than in teh event i get the npc to turn the switch  2 = on then do a common event that autorun the $game_map.refresh  when the switch get on 

and nothing happen my library doesnt appear on my main map and plus my game doesnt crash it just freeze so what am i doing worng how can i make my library appear ???

sorry for the long post and thank in advance for the help

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
