So how's this project comming along?
@Finnuval It's been going well, though slowly!
I've been working on the underbelly of the game, so there's not too much to look at currently but I have gotten the basic mechanics set up so that hero stats can be compared to the suggested world stats. While you can send any hero to any world still, I wanted to make sure it was a bit less "read the dev's mind" than the previous version was. Checking details will still be the most important way to be sure you're sending the right hero for the job, but now you'll be able to easily compare stats too. Have a character with low attack? Maybe they're not the one to send to any world that really needs a fighter.
Stats won't be the end-all be-all for making decisions though. It still may be a bad idea to send an anarchist to help a world's monarchy.

@hiddenone I like how you resolved the color icon issue by using star or empty and keeping it all one color. Not only do you convey "how much" but the empties convey "out of" which gives even more information than you gave before. Kudos! The recommended stats is a cool idea too since you have a visual of something you're trying to meet. Be sure it doesn't become a "matches or exceeds = automatically good to send" or scenarios become too easy. Part of the charm is leaving some guesswork yet sufficiently hinting at who would be better or worse fits. I really like how you started from a scalable project and now you're just building it up. I guess that makes sense since this was originally a one map challenge, right? Keep at it! Lookin' good!

As a visual person I'm really liking how the stats are shown with icons. Makes it very clear which are higher and lower at a glance!
This looks very cool!! Nice work on the GUI updates, as well.
Any updates on this game?
@8bitBartabas Not nearly as big of an update as I would like. After being pretty busy all summer I've come back to this project, but unfortunately I made an awful mistake earlier... I didn't properly comment and label my events! So quite a bit of my work is a hard-to-decipher but somehow functional mess.
But the silver lining is that after looking at all those overly-complicated events, I'm pretty sure that I can simplify and improve them all... Once I have the time. Maybe it's about time to consider recruiting some teammates to help.
Oh, and for those who are curious about other heroes, I do have some news! Now that the Original Character Contest has finished and released the busts, there's a very good chance that you'll be seeing some familiar faces join the hero lineup!

I can't wait to see how it all turns out.
Really enjoyed the 1-map version of the game. Hope I will have the chance to play the full game in the future
