RMMV Remnants of Ardrus (CANCELLED)

RoA Is shaping up to be Huge. Would you guys prefer to see it in 3 10 hour games or one thirty hour

  • 3 games of 10 our so hours is great.

  • 1 big game that I can play start to finish.

@BloodletterQ - Yup, she watched me doing a couple of maps earlier in the week and I showed her how to use the clone tool etc.. in gimp based on how Jesse did it in his video, other than that its just copying and pasting than merging layers and using clone tool. but what I was impressed with is how she didn't but two similar ground decals together because it looked fake.

I've been teaching her art for awhile, she loves animation and has been drawing anime like things and pokemon etc.. since she's 3 or 4. I've also been slowly teaching her java (I'm learning it myself albeit slowly) so she'll be able to build my games for me in a couple of years.

@LeetMusic - Thank you, have to thank Jesse at PVgames for the awesome tiles. Bit slower to work with but they work much and look much better for my style of game imho.

UPDATE - 18/08/2017

RoA is now looking for testers for 0.3.7 version.

The demo is about 4 hours of content I think.

FEATURES in 0.3.7
- The game now features two towns, two dungeons the Woodlands and the world map of almost the entire first nation.
- Huge Progress in the story
- A host of new Enemies.
- 20 new maps
- More but still unfleshed out cooking and crafting systems.
- Yanflys Equip Skills so menu's dont get messy.
- An all new smarter looking Main Menu.

BATTLE CHANGES
- Timed attacks are temporarily removed.
- All new Battle Hud.
- Hundreds of Skills to learn all with different animations and action sequencing.
- Lowered difficulty and lower encounter rate. Less battles for the same XP/ levelling.
- More JP per battle so faster learning of new skills.

Been awhile but I updated the OP. Also guys RoA needs your feedback, see the poll at the top of the main page and please let me know what you think.

So whats been added in the months since I last posted.
  1. Almost finished the first 10 hours of gameplay (or the entire first game depending on release method).
  2. Removal of clunky features that slowed the game down.
  3. New and improved Quest Journal.
  4. On Map Encounters, so the player can choose to kill everything or as little as he wants.
  5. Tweaked manual stat levelling.
  6. Removed skill learn system as players/testers were breaking their game with it.
  7. Hugely improved maps of current areas and the game now features nearly 70 maps.
  8. Hugely improved and updated writing
  9. Much, much more.

Glad to see you're still around and kickin'.

But with the release schedule of PV Resources the way it is, your best bet is to release it all at once. Still you could get little breaks in between to hold us over. Glad to hear word of a demo.

The demo is currently down as the new and improved version is almost ready. The goal was to have it this week but its looking like around mid-February.

A fantastic review from a unique reviewer/lets player Nikorasu.
Warning before watching, Nikos reviews are unique to him. While hugely entertaining they contain a few things suited to a more mature audience.

Your game is looking really good, @padr81. I hadn't realised you'd updated the demo - didn't even know you released a public demo. The lighting and the new maps look fantastic!

I also love this reviewer, I find him funny.

The demo is up currently in case I don't get anything else added in time for the 28th birthday celebrations, hopefully, I'll get a better one up by the ending date, that's why I decided to hold it back till March.

So I finally got 8 directional movement in and not only that but thanks to BloodletterQ, have a way to make characters bend to pick up items.
Happy days.

8-direction movement is a must for these resources. You're really not using them to their full potential if you stick to a 4-directional grid. Your game is really coming along nicely. :)

I love the small animations when the player opens the chest and picks up items, it's awesome!
I'm really happy to see this game growing, it has come a long way and I'm sure it will be a success when finished ^^

Hi regarding the 32 bit -> 64 bit
I am running on a 64 bit windows OS and tried doing this conversion. I converted all of the .exe files that I could find in the KADOKAWA\RPGMV folder using the 4gbpatch.exe file. However, after trying to access RPG Maker MV after this conversion, it simply will not load. Do you have any advice or any ideas?
