Hello there,

I am currently making a game which has no battling in it. I need to remove health, mana, xp, levels and all that stuff. Is there some hidden way to do this?

I can't be sure about anything (about) this, but I think there's a specific script for that.

You're probably correct, but as I've been looking for hours for a script like that, it's probably in the dark depths of Google, where nobody can find it.

The easiest thing to do is simply comment out all the draw commands for those elements in the menu scripts, which will take a little bit but it's far from hard.

From there me personally, that'd leave for a lot of menu options that will suddenly serve absolutely no purpose so... that's where it would get more complex for me. But you may not mind that as much as I would.

hmm. I haven't done this stuff in ages.. Would it be troublesome to tell me what lines to comment out?

In Window_Base, comment out all the lines in the following methods (leave the method def and end lines alone - just comment out what's between them):

draw_gauge

draw_actor_level

draw_actor_hp

draw_actor_mp

draw_actor_tp

draw_actor_param

Basically what Shaz says, as easy as it is to do it's time consuming in a way because of the number of times those occur so for us to list them out would take just as long as for you to find them yourself and longer if you wait for us then copy the instructions. time+time or something like that.

Although there is this,

http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/2970-anatomy-of-windows/

which should slim down your search some

It won't take long to comment them out. You're commenting out the contents of the actual methods (6 of them, only in that one class, and they're each only a few lines long). You're NOT searching for every place that CALLS those methods and commenting THOSE out. The calls are still there - they just don't do anything because the methods now have no content.

If you don't need the menu then you could disable that instead with a game command.  In one of my games I made it so the menu button opened your Key Items instead since everything else was irrelevant.

I know how to do that, but I do need the menu.

Also, to any moderator Shaz told me the solution, so you can close this. :)

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
