As the title explains I want to remove the Save option when you open the main menu in game, and make it so that you can only save at certain places any help on how to accomplish such a task?

or you simply use the event command "disable save" and make your save points by events alone, never touching scripts for this.

Please search for "save crystal" here in the forum, there should be a tutorial on how to do that without scripts.

This is what I am looking for thank you very much, as a reward you will be my second boss in the game!

Also I did search for "Save Crystals" and found the topic but it didn't show how to do it game wide just with one event unless I can event the whole map?

Just disable save at the start of the game, and if there's ever a point where you WANT the player to be able to save via the menu, enable it again. The save crystals example shows you how to force a save when it's disabled via the menu. Not sure what "event the whole map" means - when you disable save, it's disabled permanently until you say otherwise.

Anyway, you should have what you need now, so This thread is being closed, due to being solved. If for some reason you would like this thread re-opened, please report this post and leave a message why. Thank you.

Re-opened due to OP's request.

If you are having problems with getting the save to be disabled, and enabled again, I really recommend catching up on more tutorials, because it truly is as easy as clicking 'change save access'.

You have to put it on autorun or parallell process, then add an "Erase event" command after the Save menu disable command. If you do this, the event auto-fires and disables saving before removing itself so it doesn't repeat. The Erase event command only temporarily removes the event, so that if you exit the map and re-enter, it'll do the whole thing over again (which I assume it should) :)

How do I put it on a parallel process? Sorry I'm still a bit new to this whole script/event thing.

I suggest you take a look at some tutorials (which has already been suggested) - this is REALLY basic stuff.

You set it to parallel process by changing the Trigger of the event (default is Action Button).

If you only want to turn it off once then have it off forever, also turn on a self switch and add a second event page that's conditioned by that self switch, so it won't run again every time you come back to this map. In this particular case, it won't make a difference, but it's a good habit to get into with things you only want to happen once.
