So, my scene equip looks like this

2021_12_6_21_52_10_684_4938.png

my game (its "battle system", if you could even call it that, as I'm trying to lean away from RPG and into action-adventure as hard as you can with this engine) makes no use at all of the AGI or LUK stats (it's up in the air if it's even going to meaningfully wind up using the MDF stat, but that's a story for another day). How do I make it so that they don't show up here? I changed the names of the stats to be blank strings, but the numbers and arrows are still distracting there and I want to remove them

here is a screenshot of my plugins for reference

thanks for helping me learn

Hello!

Add this plugin add the end of your plugin list. It should work.
Haven't really been able to check what plugins you're using, as it seems like quite a lot of variation there. If you get an error, please press "F8" and print screen or otherwise copy the error :)

Terms:
100% open for editing, non-commercial and commercial games. Credits would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Bishiba

Edit: Added so that the stats are hidden in both Equip and Status scene. Now, if the stats are not the last two. There will be no gaps.

Compatibility:
Should be compatible with:
YEP_EquipCore
YEP_StatusMenuCore
YEP_ShopMenuCore

Thank you so much bishiba, I really appreciate it.

I was kind of hoping this could be an opportunity to learn how I might go about doing something like this my own dumb self, y'know the whole "catch a man a fish v. teach a man to fish" thing, but I'm not gonna turn my nose up at a ready made solution. I'll come back in a minute and edit this to let you know how it's working.

(I have removed the status scene from my game entirely I'm pretty sure so that bit should be a non-issue.)

edit: seems to have worked like a charm, muchas gracias again!

You can still look up some number of other threads where it's been walked through a little more in detail

Basically, you find the portion of that scene where it's looping through the actor's params to display their value, and you reduce the value it's iterating up to (or tell it to skip certain numbers, if you're removing parameters in the middle of the list).

Thank you! :)

Happy to help, regardless if it is used or not! Was a learning experience for me as well. I am glad you liked it, I was happy to help, I liked doing it ;)

If anything else comes up, just post it and if I see it I shall help out if I can.
If it is in regards to this plugin, feel free to DM me. I assume there won't be though, since you now aren't using the status scene :)

Oof. Literally got a "whose code is this, 'cause it sucks" in one of my projects.
Lunesis has started a trend of doing homages to me by putting a trilobite fossil in your game somewhere and I have to say I love this and encourage everyone who wants to credit me to do it too. XD
Made a plugin that allows you to randomly transmute items into other items weeeeeeee
Rebuilding isn't going terribly so far. I caught some things that I was definitely overcomplicating in the original project. Here's to hoping the plugins play nice when testing starts.
