I'm looking for a plugin that allows you to have Charge Skills.

For example, 1 actor uses the skill "Charge Strike". He does nothing this turn but charge up. The next turn, that actor is not able to select an option from the battle menu, but resolves its attack.

Pretty much a straightforward charge attack. Maybe the skills could have a <chargeTurns: 1> tag?

I'd like this too.  Right now I have a skill that that does nothing but grant a stat and increase ATK for 1 turn, but I'd like the player or enemy who uses the skill to then automatically attack on the subsequent turn.

If you don't mind using an ATB, Ellye's ATB has a built-in function for this called Cast Times.

I won't be using a ATB, so that's out of the question.. :/

I would be interested in writing a plugin that would implement "charging".


Ideally it would handle all battle systems, but of course that's pretty difficult to accomplish.


So for now I will be writing one based on the default battle system (which may include Yanfly's battle system).

I have the charging done, but I haven't figured out how to get the battler to keep using the "casting" animation.


So for example, when you select to perform a skill that requires a one-turn charge, they will start their casting animation. They will skip their turn because the skill isn't ready yet.


The second input phase will begin, and they will just look normal again, except they can't pick another command.


Then the turn will begin and they will execute their skill.

Hmm.. I guess that would be a slight problem.. But thanks for working on it! If you end up not being able to get it to work totally correctly, I think it would be fine to use it the way you have it set up.

Easily done by putting a state of that battler that will do the casting SV and anything else you want like an animation or an interrupt effect if the state gets removed.

l really wonder why people are ignoring my request thread when its the exact same request.

Well, the animation is still there if you go to the "fight/escape" window. It's when you go to the "actor command" window then they just stop doing their casting animation.


I didn't see your topic.

Perhaps the CHARGE skill gives a state that makes them Auto attack for one action, but also gives them an attack boost. So this way, when its his turn, he will Auto Attack with the buff AND the state is removed. Might work....yeah?

Just an update. I haven't figured out how to get the charging thing to work correctly and am not sure when this will be done.
