RMMV Request for porting Custom Keyboard Mapping MZ plugin to MV

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone would be interested in backporting this keybind plugin to RPG Maker MV? I tried to do it myself, but turns out I'm not familiar enough with the new MZ classes to figure it out. Thanks for reading ^_^

The main difference I found is other MV plugins only display a list or table of keys to bind, so keybinding is limited to the displayed keys. The plugin in question asks the user to press the key they want to bind, so a lot more flexibility. Also, I prefer the simpler interface of this plugin. If I can't get this one working though I will use one of the existing plugins.

The trick is that author hasn't been on the site since releasing that plugin, and his terms really don't address edits or redistribution.

One might guess since he says credits are not required that he wouldn't really care, but...

does YEP_Keyboard_Config does not want you to do?
it can rebind the buttons on that keyboard layout though.

unless you want a different layout, which I think Mano had found here.

I tried both of those plugins but they weren't quite what I was looking for unfortunately.
