Basically, I want a way to make a big animated battler like a giant or a dragon. In the story, for example, the player plays through a portion of the game as a dragon or a giant and not the party. This would work for me if the entire party was replaced by the giant actor, or if the giant actor could just take up a party slot and still have other party members there. Either one would be fine. This would be super cool. It wouldn't need as many frames, maybe just idle animation, attack, and skill.

Thanks for checking on my request. Would love to hear from you if you want to work on this!

I don't see how this requires a plugin.  Just get a spritesheet for the character and add them to the actors tab.  If you're using sideview battles, make sure there's a sideview battler sprite.

Why do you think a plugin is needed?  Am I missing something?

Can they be over the standard 64x64 size? I honestly don't know, but assumed that was a default limit. If that's not the case I will jump for joy! If so how would one go about it? Just keep within increments of 64 with the same layout?

Absolutely!  With character sprites, the size doesn't matter.  Take a look at the $BigMonster sprites that come with the engine.

If you're only going to have just the one character on the sheet, it needs to be 3 columns & 4 rows, all evenly spaced, with the sprite lined up correctly inside each cell, and the file name needs to start with $.

It will still only show as 48x48 in the editor, but when you play the game it'll show the full sprite.  Collision will be based on the 48x48 tile though.

Moving to MV Support, now that a plugin is no longer required

I knew about that for "walking around" but is the battle system the same way?

keep in mind the weapon positions...that is the one thing you might need plugin help with. I think weapons still need to stay the same size. When I tried scaling them up no dice.

Yeah, I know some work has been done to switch the weapon graphics (BRAVO!) but size and position is still an issue (to my knowledge). Some of this I can work around. In my case the giant sprites wont be permanent additions to the party, so I could draw their weapons as part of the sprite (maybe)... Still, i haden't thought of that yet so you did get me thinking!

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
