As the title says, I just want a plugin that can play a gif or a set of images in gif format. A link to said plugin if it exists will be fine.

P.S. The first person who links me to Larva's gif plugin will be shot..it works NOTHING like the creator claims.(unless you like watching a single image move a crossed a small as hell box with most of it cut off)

Hey i use lavra's and if you know how to use it, it works, you are not going to use a real gif, is rendered in a canvas and the canvas don't support gif, not possible

Yes, iavra plugin's works fine, If it not working for you, maybe the problem is that you're not using it correclty.

I don't get some people:

- Try to use a plugin.

- Fails.

- Ask for a new plugin instead of finding out why the other plugin didn't work.

It doesn't help that the plugin's help section's instructions are about as clear and understandable as a Egyptian Hieroglyph Wall.

@deathsia: Then perhaps you can give us screenshots of how you tried to use the plugin, and the people who have used it successfully can then tell you where you made your mistakes. That will get you to success while ranting usually doesn't.

The fact that you din't post how you trying to use it, also don't help.

It's easier to get help from people to make an existing plugin to work, than expect someone to make a whole new plugin.

pfff, Hard to understand? o god! it's easy to use it
namefile_animated_x_y
where x is the number of frames of the animation and y is the time that delays betwen frames, its super easy, you only need to put in a png file the animation in a strip like this

Instructions found on the plugin topic.

How to Use

Allows the usage of animated images in RMMV. They have to be converted to image strips beforehand, which is an image with the dimensions [(frame width * number of frames) x (frame height)] (width x height). So, if you have an image with dimensions of [50x60] and 4 animation frames, the resulting strip will be [200x60] and consist of all 4 frames in a row.

The image has to be named in a certain way, so the plugin knows which images it needs to animate. When using the default value for the parameter "File Name Format", the strip above could be named "myImage_animated_4_100.png". The last number tells the plugin, how fast the animation should be played. In this case, we change the displayed image every 100 frames.

The plugin has been tested for simple pictures, characters and battle background and works even when tinting them.

Anyway, if you was having issues with a plugin, why didn't you simply ask on the plugin topic itself? Iavra is very active so it wouldn't take long for him to answer it, while a post here on the requests can pass unnoticed.

"Very" active is kind of a stretch considering that i only browse these forums like once a day, currently ^^

I didn't realize this topic even exists, before Victor quoted me, so if you want a response, make sure i get a notification (quote me, address me with @ or directly write a PM). I try to scan over the JavaScript forums every now and then, but i may miss something that has been pushed away from the first few pages.
