Requesting A side battle system (RPG VX Ace)

Before I start I just want to make it clear that at this stage I'm not planning a full game or even a Demo, I've just bought VX Ace (Tinkered with VX and XP) and I'm just playing around with it for now. I've been looking for a sideview Battle system that has the following skills

Stomp: Jump and stomp on the enemy. That would come in handy if the enemy was an ork, rock monster, etc

Slid Forward: I had this idea where the enemy is a spiked wall and the player has to attack the wall to escape.

And it would require useing existing sprites, meaning I wouldn't need to make any and just use the ones that came with the program.

Some of you are probably thinking why don't I make my own? Not quite that easy. When I look at a script all I see is a bunch of Gibberish that I can't make any sense out of. It's worst when the only script I've found that comes close to my needs is written in Japanese. I've tried tutorials but you can't ask a Video a question when you don't understand something. In otherwords I'm one of those guys who would need a teacher to be in the room and going through it step by step. God, I hope this doesn't come off as whiny. 

So if anyone knows where I can find a Script that would work for my needs I'd really appreciate it. Oh, one more thing. Can anyone tell me what this is means:

Script 'Sideview line 1519: NoMethodError occured

undefined Method 'frame_max' for nil:NilClass

I have no clue what it means.

Your error means you are calling a method, but you have no object to apply the method to. On line 1519, it will say something.frame_max but something is nil because it hasn't been created yet.

You can slide in jet's viewed battle system and it is easily adjustable by the player; you would probably need a script that uses animated battlers or something if you wanted it to look like they were stomping the enemy. I think Victor's battle engine has some sort of addition that creates a leap/jump skill that is like the old jump skill from final fantasy games.

I'm useing that Battle system at the moment, simple but effective, I had a XP verson on the Tankentai battle system that had stomp as a skill but doubtful the script is compateable.  Thanks for takeing the time to help a newbie out, greatly appreciated.

Victor Engine

Galv Animated battlers

and I know there are more..way more.

for more use the search feature, The Complete Master Script List, or Google/bing it.

Most of these cannot be used in commercial games without a licence from the script author.

I'd recommend

Victor Saints - Not for beginners and requires a lot of setting up

Symphony - Dr. Yami - Has it good points but is missing a few things for my tastes.

Jet - Is very simple and easy as hell to use.

As for the Slide and stomp features

Slide

For Slide I would use Rows or the row change script add on then that would be a dodge like feature

Stomp

Jump Command like Kain in FF4. I know there are scripts for it out here.

Just add on some scripts to the core system.

I've been googleing since I bought the program, thought I'd just ask and instead of looking up dead ends.

Currently I'm useing Jets. Victor Engine is a complex battle system and since I'm just starting off that's not the one for me. Anything requireing me to have to make animated battlers I have to respectfully say no to. Formar0123's script I'm downloading now and I'll try out later. I have used the English Ten/enu for XP, it did have the stomp skill, and was perfect for my needs. The Ace verson I can't tell what it has because it hasn't been translated and from what I've read useing google search  it won't be translated anytime soon. In fact there was a Member on one forum I came across that absolutely Refused to translate it. So I have to hold off for now.

Did try looking up the row change script add on  and the jump command but what I've come across thus far I can't use. I will keep looking.

Adding scripts to the core system, not familiar with that term. Is this the same as pasting a script above main?

I have no intention to sell anything that may come out of this, it'll either be just for myself or freely distributed.

Well, you can use yanfly's script for that... or Yami's symphony

But as for having stomp skill, I think you can use Yami's script (the one which uses the animation tab to create the animated battlers, not the spritesheet based one)

I tried to download Yanfly's script but it's in a File Format I'm not familar with. However I have managed to down load Yami's symphony (Sprite Based one) and It'll do for now. It doesn't have the stomp or slid skill but what it does is the ability for the Enemy sprite to move toward the player as part of it's attack. Something the more simpler scripts I've tried didn't have. Thanks for the Help.

He means you need to make your own stomp animation.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
