So I've been having a lot of problems with getting Escape to function how I need it to, and as far as I can tell, there is no existing script to easily manage the Escape function, beyond simply changing the rate of Escape chance. What I'm looking for is an all-encompassing Escape Manager script, to easily modify the Escape command to work in a number of different ways. I don't think that this is really a script only I would use either, I'm sure tons of people could benefit from something like this.

So here's what I would like this script to do:

1. Able to add an Escape command to each individual actor's command list, and when this option is enabled, to disable the Fight/Escape menu from appearing (the one that appears by default).

2. Able to manipulate Escape rate, either by setting a specific value in the module, or by determining Escape rate based on a stat or perhaps even a variable (by default, it should be determined by Luck if this is turned on).

3. Able to notetag a Skill or Item as an "Escape Skill". By default, this would automatically cause the party to Escape from battle when used with a 100% chance, except when faced with a fixed encounter which has "Can Escape" disabled. In such battles (like boss battles), skills and items tagged with "Escape Skill" will be disabled.

4. Able to run a Common Event upon Escape. For example, this may be used to make the player lose a little Gold when escaping from battle, or any other desired effect that can be run through a Common Event.

If someone could make this, it would really help immensely.

Also, it needs to be compatible with Yanfly's scripts, as well as Yami's Charge Turn Battle script (Specifically, the modified version of the script found in this thread: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/13223-game-crashing-whenever-berserkconfuseetc-is-used-on-actor-in-yami-ctb/ )

I don't suspect this sort of thing would conflict with any of my other scripts. Hopefully.

My idea of an escape manager would only provide custom escape functionality, and none of the window modifications or anything because that pretty much binds it to a single system.

Could you give an example of what yours would contain exactly?

I wouldn't know what it would contain exactly, because I don't see the reason why a single script should handle all of this.

Custom escape ratios can be done with this script for example: http://himeworks.wordpress.com/2013/03/30/troop-escape-ratio/

My "escape manager" would allow you to set up events that will run when you escape, possibly with additional conditions on whether you successfully escaped or not, but that's probably pretty much it. I don't write scripts that modify the UI unless the UI modifications are required to use the script.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
