The original iconset for VX Ace is good, but it doesn't have everything. I find that I need icons for a variety of statuses, ranging from easy ones like Fear and Bleed (3 different versions of Bleed, technically) to things like smelling blood and getting an attack boost from it.

I need these all in an RTP style. If possible, please direct me to somewhere that has a plethora of RTP-style status icons, if you can.

Ones I need ATM:

  • Bleed: Three different versions, showcasing the current "stack" (1-3 in the game's case). The icon should probably be something like a bloodsplatter or a blood drop, with the number of the stack placed in the most prominent location possible as to avoid confusion.
  • Bloodlust/Blood-Crazy/Blood-Frenzy: This has 3 different versions as well, as it goes alongside the stacks of Bleed. The icon should again incorporate some form of bloodiness into it, with the picture getting more "severe" in appearance for each variation. Blood-Crazy should look more intense than Bloodlust, essentially. This time, no number is needed for each version.
  • Fear: Obviously the theme is being scared stiff here, so some kind of panicked expression, paralysis-shock lines, or other various image used to indicate being stunned by fear. Whatever looks the best and matches the RTP the most.
  • Fooled: A good old "!" in bold text in a word bubble would be good for this one.

Any and all help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

As far as I am aware, it's not going to be possible to direct you "to somewhere that has a plethora of RTP-style status icons"; particularly as you then go on to specify in some detail what you want, which is certainly something you are unlikely to find ready-made.

Have you thought about using GIMP (or Photoshop or whatever) to do some editing yourself to get these?  Take a blank base and put what you need over it.  Here is an example of something I did right back at the beginning, so definitely rough, but maybe it will give you an idea of how you could do it.

I don't know if she has the ones you're looking for, Avery's workshop has a whole ton of icons. Normally she takes requests but she's on a break after doing loads and loads of icons for an upcoming advent calendar.

Avery has a few status icons, but not like the ones you described.

Also, even when she is taking requests, she only takes 3 at a time and you want considerably more than that.

I could do that if I had any idea how to arrange the icons on the grid. A version of the standard iconset with gridlines would be nice.

Export your existing icon set.  Open it up in your image program.  I can only give you the instructions for GIMP, but Photoshop is pretty similar.

Select 'View' from the Menu bar at the top

Choose your zoom (say 200%)

Select 'Show Grid'  - this will give you a grid, but not the size grid you want.

Select 'Image' from the Menu bar

Select 'Configure Grid'

set it at 24 x 24

You now have the grid onto which you drop your icons.

Looked up a guide online. Have the grid, now. Thanks anyways. I'll post some of what I create, here, if it happens to work. Can I ask a quick question, though?

What font did you use for that Fear icon?

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
