Hello! Apologies if this is in the wrong forum. This is my first time ever posting in a forum! With that out of the way, I am trying to resize faces generated with the character generator to smaller proportions. I am using both YANFLY's Core Engine and GALV's Message Styles.

The goal here is to utilize the pop-in text from GALV's Message Styles, without the face graphic being huge. I am aware that the default image size for faces is 576x288, and individual faces are 144x144. I want to reduce this size by half to better fit the message box(288x144 and 72x72). When I resize the image however, I am unable to select individual face graphics. Here are some pictures to further explain. SmallerFaceDimensions.png This is a face graphic that I've resized to half the original size. I am unable to select each face.

DesiredEffect.png
This is the desired effect that I want to create. However, once again, I can't actually select the face that appears in that box. The engine just inputs a random face.

ReducedFaceBoxSize.png
In Yanfly's Core Engine, I have reduced the Face box window size to half it's original size (to match the half size of the face images).

TooBigFaceSize.png
This is what I'm trying to avoid using. This is the default image size with the default face box size set to 144x144 in Yanfly's Core Engine. It's just too much on-screen.

TextCallBox.png
Finally, here is what the text call box looks like when I try to select a face image that has been reduced in size. With the Face Image box reduced to 72x72 in Yanfly's Core Engine, one of these four images is randomly selected.

I've been messing around with RPG Maker MV for about a month now, so this is still a huge learning process for me. If anyone could offer assistance, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Man, i have the exactly same issue as you. Wish someone who's better than us in scripting replied to this.

The editor itself can't be changed, no matter what you do.

what you need to do is to find an alternative to pinpoint pictures in the game, not in the editor.
a lot of time people use regular-sized pictures for the editor and redirect the result based on that.

for example, the best way to work with shaz change tilesize plugin is to have two copies of the tilesheets, one in editor size and one in the wanted new size, and have the plugin change between them ingame.

Hey, I posted an actual plugin. Like, whoa.
I love this job (as a programmer), coding is fun sometimes. It is just the deadline that needs to CHILL.
Best explanation of "Confirmation Bias": "If you go looking for a fight, you will always find one". If you always look for something, you'll find it. Negativity or Positivity. This is just a reminder to spend time looking for some Positivity today. :D Ya'll have earned it and deserve it.
And now all my attacking skills suddenly heal instead of doing damage...Even kills and revives. Because ofc they do xD
