Resizing Boss sprites?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category...


I got the rpg maker freebies part 12 for the awesome Japanese myth bosses, and in my game I was going to have the player fight the tiger/bull/spider/thing Tsuchigumo but when I put it in the troops section in the database the sample picture of how the boss looks/where it's positioned is cut off right above the mouth when I move the sprite as low as I could. So experimentally I checked the Jurogumo and the uh toilet paper ghost, and while the Jurogumo fits in the screen perfectly the toilet paper ghost gets cut out as well, though with the ghost it mostly just cuts out the tip of its hood so it's usable for my game (I haven't checked the rest because they all seemed a lot smaller than those three). I was wondering if there was any way to just shrink the boss sprite slightly so they fit better, I searched the forums and did a brief google search but I didn't find anything.

Yanfly has an add on called Animated Battle Sprites. I believe this add on allows your to scale battlers down with a code (very easy). Just place a code in the note box of the battler. You can find his addon at yanfly.moe.

I... Am an idiot, I already had that plugin and didn't even think about it.... Though I didn't know I could scale actors with it, sigh. Good for future reference.  :stare:


Anyway thanks a lot for your help @Solis I just finished trying it out, I can indeed scale him down to where he fits in the screen (Barely) He's just so tall his face is where the battle messages display (So and so used attack) which is kinda annoying because it drags the Mog chain commands I'm using up there with it so it gets kinda hard to see what it wants you to do. Oh well no big deal as long as he fits in the screen it should be fine the player won't have any complicated commands at that point anyway, I'll just sleep on it and try and figure out a solution to that tomorrow. (I can probably move the chain commands Icon down a bit if I'm lucky)

And no problem! 
Weird I've been messing with the Y axis in the plugin parameters and I increased and then decreased each one by one hundred just to see if that would work but nothing seemed to happen so I guess I'd either have to get him to scale down further or disable the battle messages... Neither of which is appealing to me.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
