Hi all,
So, I'm suddenly in a bind with my game. The problems I'm having revolve around my screen resolution.
Here are some some bits of information to help show where I'm at and what the problems themselves actually are:
1. I've used the Yanfly Core Plugin to change my resolution to 1248x768.
2. I re-sized one of the battle backgrounds to 1248x768 and then re-saved it as a different file and placed in the the correct folder
3. On the MAP settings, I told it to use my new re-sized battle background
4. To test, I have an event that forces the player in to a fight.
5. When in battle, the battle background is a completely different background than the one I told it to use. This one is smaller than the one I'm using and has black bars on each side of it.
6. I also have a custom image that is 1248x768. When this image is shown in game, I have it put at coordinates 0,0 at the Upper Left.
7. The image has black bars on each side, even though it was drawn to be the exact size of my screen resolution.
8. When I print screen and paste both my battle screen and my field screen showing my image, the screen appears to be only 1248x689.
9. Going back and rechecking the images themselves, they are indeed 1248x768.
10. I've also double checked that my resolution is in-fact 1248x768 and IT IS.
11. Despite how small I make the resolution afterwards, it still shows bars on either side of the battleback and the custom image.
Can anyone possible help me figure out what is going on here? I'd really like my image to fit. Sad thing is, all my other images that are the correct size fit.
Also, how can I get the battle background to be the one I want and how can I eliminate those pesky black bars?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
