I'd love to see some graphics from RPG Maker 1, 2, and 3 available. That would certainly be interesting. Imagining those characters in VX/Ace style would certainly be interesting too...

I have a soft spot for RPG Maker 1's music...that would be a real treat!

I know it's not on the poll, but some DS and DS+ battlers would be EXCELLENT. I can tell from screenshots that it's the same artist as VX and VX Ace respectively (some are even the same, the Werewolf in Ace is the same as the one DS+!) There's gotta be higher resolution artwork for the battlers than what's in the DS games....

Speaking of which, higher resolution art is neat. It was neat in the Samurai Pack, the few higher resolution battlers in the Ace preorder was neat too. Giant enemies, face portraits, cutscene pictures, and just enjoying the picture at higher quality is a major plus! I think I'm getting a little off topic though.

RM2K3 and 95, hands down. The side-battle system was my favorite part of RM2K3, and it never got the love it should have. A script to recreate it, along with the proper assets, would be wonderful for those of us who are die-hard FFVI fans.

Hope it is not too late to cast a vote and post a comment.

I would love to see the graphics/tilesets/etc etc from 2003 and XP. They, to me, offered the best resources to work with and there are plenty of them avaliable right now to make ACE/VX 1000000 * better.

I dunno, I don't see why so many people liked XP's RTP... I never liked the style nor the colors =\

Well, for me, I can take it more seriously, and it has far more resources--plus its not all square and restricting as to not allow you to have more realistic mountains (as an example), for one. :p

VX's mapping system is flawed, I think. But having more resources like XP and 2003 would help a lot.

You realize that which ever set they release, they're refitting it to VXAce, right? Meaning if you got the XP style graphics (about 2x as tall as VXAce), they're going to be remade in the smaller size.

I know, but at least we'd have more resources, especially the cool XP resources. That helps at least a bit, in my opinion.

I could see wanting the tile sets since they're rather fantastic but I thought the characters were all rather bland. But then again, I like real nostalgia from the 95/2k days :p

Yeah, I'd settle for RPG Maker 2 based resources as well, if we could get some cool spriters or something to make the character sets from those game into sprite form. *wink wink nudge nudge* lol. XD

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
