Yea, thats more what I meant. (should have worded it better). Obviously, as mentioned, RPG Maker has all the advantages of the editor and mapping system, 'easy databasing' and such like.. Which none of those libraries have; however, there are projects out there which help bring RPG Maker made games into such environments (Gosu/StarRuby) - So one could quite easily make their stuff in RPG Maker, then 'port' their game into Gosu and thats that... (somewhat pointless really though)...RGSS (not RPG Maker) is similar to StarRuby / Gosu / ray / others.
And yea.. I dont even know how many times I've been kicking myself over some 'hidden' method and not knowing its logic. (Input module mainly) And subsequently, have had to write my own versions of full scripts just to use a PrtScrn key to take a screenshot...
