While I agree, it may or may not be for the same reasons. I loved the community behind the forums, but I hated iEntry and the way they treated their staff and the members, especially if they questioned iEntry's motives or business dealings. It's still sad in the end, but at least it's finally over and people can move on and heal.

And the biggest pleasure I can get from it is that nobody will ever trust iEntry again.

Do remember I was banned from there because after getting super frustrated with iEntry I basically made a long post on the forums about how terrible they were and how everyone should just abandon the site. And that I was one of the main admins of the site for a long time, and still was at the time I did that.

The other day I saw the message and I had mixed feelings. The first and second Triumvirate saw it bloom and prosper and then came along iEntry and hosed it all up.


Still, one can't help but to keep a moment of silence for something you helped build.

It doesn't seem spiteful. They were jerks.


I am just glad they never went through with all of their threats to pull the plug, and let it die of neglect, giving me time to raid the archives (and restore few names, lol.)


Still, it was the people that made it what it was. And only some of us will ever truly appreciate game-name-words like "Nigel" or online-names like "JonnyRoxard" or the crazy community games we concocted.


But yeah. it was time. Bye bye Dot Net. And mow my grass, iEntry.

okay guys - that was the only thread I could find here about the late rpgmakervx.net. Let's push it for a second.

What's the current status on the message board backup from iEntry? Will they every release it to the public? I still cannot believe that they killed the whole vx-community within some days. The board was such a superb place for rgss2-scripts.
