Need a few people to test my map made in RM2K3.
Updated 05/04/2015
Brief Description:
It's a sort of dungeon crawling game made to be quick and simple to pick up.
Long Description:
This game has an extreme focus on character development, replayability, and creative classes. I intend for this game to have a very simple plot but a lot of flexibility in character development and itemization. Each class will have their own advantages, disadvantages, and two or more ways to play them.
At the moment, there are four classes fully functional and fully playable:
they are the Paladin, Astromancer, Howler, and the Gambler.
The Paladin as a class can generally be viewed as tank with heals instead, I tweeked him to have offensive capabilities that scale off Defense and other offensive abilities that sacrifice Defense for damage.
The Astromancer is an attempt to stray away thematically from the ordinary Mages, Elementalists, Conjurers, and the like. He operates in the same way as a Mage in that he's suppose to deal a lot of damage but I intend to ensure that he actually has glaring weaknesses (mp costs and low hp/armor) unlike other games.
The Howler is a self-buffer that relies on shouts to amplify his prowess. He is probably the simplest class tied with the Astromancer in terms of creativity but I hope to develop his uniqueness with help.
The Gambler is my most proud class at the moment as his abilities are mostly battle event scripts that uses a lot of switches and variables. Basically he rolls dies and they determine how successful he is in battle. He can alter the results by using a buff called "Lady Luck" as well as purchase dice (his main weapon) that increase results by 1.
If you are interested in testing my game please respond below and we'll figure a way to contact each other whether through Steam, E-mail, Raidcall, or Skype.
Below are the subjects for which I'd like to receive criticism:
On a scale of 1-10
Fun factor
Difficulty (probably the most important)
Class uniqueness
and anything else you think is relevant.
This game is not completed so I'm not looking for criticism on:
Plot
Content
Graphics (I used default but will enhance it later)
and anything else that shouldn't be expected to be fine-tuned in a non completed game.
