Hi, new user here.

Well this problem it's a bit weird the last time i've used RMMV was back on 1.2.1 since then I change a lot of computers and reacently I've downloaded MV to cerate a project but I have this weird behavior with the save files, back in 1.2.1 when I deployed a game usually the save files I used on the editor where not exported with the game.

But right now I've created a new project on 1.6.1 and when I hit deploy the save files are there and allows the player to continue where I "left" wich I don't really think i'ts good because some savefiles does not have the correct switches turned on and that can ruin the player experience.

I've seached the actual files to delete them on the www folder and run a search on my PC for .rvdata files and there is nothing.

This is really anoying I've also searched on Google if some elese has had this experience but I can't seem to find anything about this.

This is weird... do you have a plugin that changes the save file directory?

if the project was on 1.2.1 and opened in 1.6.x and deploy from there, than yes, you have issues.
because 1.6.x has alot of changes from 1.2.1. Most plugins probably wont work either.

did you even upgrade the project as well to 1.6.x if you use this version?
if not, than try to download version of 1.2.x again and re-deploy from there and it should work.
or you need to make some changes/major changes with newer plugins after you update you project from
1.2.1 to 1.6.x (make sure to BACKUP your project 1st)

No, I had one plugin that comes with the download from Youji I think it is, that changes the aspect of the save screen, but I already deleted it and the problem persist.

So where does the RPG Maker version 1.2.1 you mentioned comes in? Also, if you create a brand new project with 1.6.1 do you have the same problem?

I was just mentioning that I have not use RPGMaker since 1.2.1 I thought meaby the directories had changed or something.

In regards of creating a new project, when I create a new project, the savefiles from my current project are in this one! And if I save the game in the new project, the new savefile appears on muy current project. . . :kaosigh:

I think the game is creating the savefiles on a "common" folder, can that be possible? Because. . . its weird that the projects are sharing savefiles.

Maybe check the integrity of the files in your software folder. Every time you create a new project, it copies files from that directory and creates a new project with it. It's kinda of a blind guess, but there's nothing to lose by simply looking. So go to the software's folder, and into the New Data folder. If you have the software on steam the path should be something like this:

Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RPG Maker MV\NewData
Another theory would be my initial theory, that your game is using a common folder, probably under the local roaming data folder. However, MV does not behave like this by default, it only does that when using a plugin. There are a couple of plugins that do that. You kinda killed this theory when you said that a newly created project still behaves like this (since a new project wouldn't have a plugin that changes the save directory). That is unless you changed the software's default files.

And just to inform you, MV's saving directory didn't change between 1.2.1 and 1.6.2 (that is the newest version).

Ok so, I've redownloaded the 1.6.1 updated and reinstalled on the base program, it appears that the problem with the new projects is gone and now the save folder is created when I create a new savefile on the new projects. . .:kaocry:

But how can I transfer all my maps and events from the previuous project to a new one, just the maps and events becuse I dont know where the savefiles are on the project with the problem since the save folder is not apearing :kaoswt2:

Nevermind, I just copied the img and the data folder it appears it was a faulty installation I've tested the game on the editor and deployed it again and everything its working as it should. Thank for the Help Guys! :kaoangry::kaohi:

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
