Hi everyone,
I want to really, really streamline the probability of an attack hitting an enemy, so I'm using Yanfly's HitAccuracy plug-in, and I have a few questions:
1. Is it possible for me to set all Certain Hit attacks at a true 100% hit rate (as in, always connecting no matter what), Physical Attacks at a 90% hit rate, and Magic Attacks at an 80% hit rate?
I don't want any other variables (evasion/ agility/ accuracy/ dodge, etc.) to play a role in this. No other surprise influences on the chance of connecting. I want it to be guaranteed 10/10 hit for CH, 9/10 chance of a hit for PA, and 8/10 chance of a hit for MA, no matter what. I tried setting these values in the plug-in, and changing/removing everything else (including Class Trait bonuses and Skill Invocation Successes), and it's not working. I even tried setting the different plug-in Hit Types to 50% and 0% out of curiosity, yet they always hit, no matter what. I'm not sure why everything is always hitting currently, regardless of the Hit Type. Attached is a picture showing one (of many) different things I tried, to no avail.
2. Assuming that #1 is possible - that we can indeed set those 3 percentages based on Hit Type alone - is it then additionally possible for a specific class to boost only the Magic Attack from the original 80% up another 5%, to a guaranteed 85% hit rate? I see the ex-parameter "Hit Rate +%", but I'm guessing that's for all Hit Types, whereas I'd like to only boost the Magic Attack hit rate, yet leave Certain Hit at 100% and Physical Hit at 90%. I don't want to boost all Hit Types simultaneously.
3. Assuming #1 is possible, is there a way for a Blindness state (decreasing the chance of a hit by 50%) to still work? And if so, would that reduce the 100/90/80% to 50/45/40 (half of the original chances, multiplicatively), or would it subtract 50%, making the new chance for a hit 50/40/30? Unlike in #2, I'd be content if all three Hit Types were reduced, so it seems to me that the ex-parameter "Hit Rate -50%" would be fine here. (Based on the subtraction sign, I assume it would subtract, rather than multiply, but I'd also like to know if this ex-parameter would even work in the first place, given whatever needs to be done to make #1 work.) On a related note, would Certain Hit be exempt from blindness because it's... uhh... a Certain Hit, or would it still be affected the same way as the other two Hit Types?
Thank you!
