Hello all

I was wondering if there is a way to change the way the Skill Menu functions. Instead of clicking Menu > Skills > Select Actor > Magic/Special/Whatever > then showing the skill list, I would like to be able to click on Skills in the menu and it just loads the full list of Skills learned by Actor X.

Basically, I want to click "Skills" in the menu and immediately arrive at this screen:

Is this possible? I am using Yanfly's Main Menu Manager if this is something I need to Common Event or bind to a different script call.

Thanks in advance!
Lui

But how does it know which actor Actor X is, without that selection process?

Is there only one actor ever in your party? That would be important information

there are some single actor menu to skip all that stuff, even when using items.
or simply use the command "Scenemanager.push(Scene_Skill)" and leave out
the isPersonal or something in the bind which can be removed by than.

that select the actor.

Yeah, I know I've seen little plugins to change the Item and Skill scenes to bypass actor selection for single-actor parties.

Have you already Googled it?

Argh, I googled my butt off trying to find ways to skip some of the steps... same for the item menu... but the one thing it didn't occur to me to google is "menus for single actors".

(Sounds a bit like a washed up Hollywood Starlet, ordering midnight pizza. Anyway.)

The plugin works like a charm, so thanks for that.

Clearly the solution is for me to get one of those rubber duckies that you tell all your code and programming problems to, to help with this whole "not seeing the forest for the trees" issue I've been having lately. :p

Heh, heh. I've been experimenting with a naughty word detector Common Event and using scripts to check certain strings. I never thought I would see such language in computer code. I would post a screen shot, but it probably wouldn't be appropriate, even with a Spoiler. But it certainly makes me laugh and it works great.
