Hello everyone! I've got a question regarding disabling the shift key during certain scenes.

In my game I still have the shift key set to dash however I added a common event to change the main character to switch to riding a broom! The main reason I want to disable using shift is due to even if an event is set to autorun, the player can still press shift and the sprite changes to on the broom.
This messes with a couple of my plans such as in one case the main character holds something and has to bring it to a location; I can disable dashing however if the player still presses shift the sprite returns to without what she's holding.

Any help would be appreciated! I put this under general MV since I'm not sure if that's something that you can do within the program, but if there's a better place for it let me know!

Can't you just turn off switch 42 during the autorun event, and back on at the end?

Ah, that's very true! I forgot I had that switch to the event, I thought I had changed it to not need that original switch but looks like I kept it there!

Sorry about that! Thanks for your help~

Sorry everyone, I am here sporadically. After 6 years of delays after delays in my life, I try to do all mat once and that means that I spread thin everywhere because it just is impossible to crunch 6 years in one or even two, but I try! I wish many of that I would already given you and put behind but... well...
I'm looking for an experienced gamer who has played a few games created with RPG Maker, who knows what an alpha build is, who may remember the old days when cliché was the favorite word on Creation Asylum, who, if a reviewer, would ask for my permission before making a review to post on YouTube, or whatever, since I will be messaging you a 10 minute, or so, DEMO based on an alpha build of Effervesce Fallacy™.
No matter how many times I listen to him, I know this is Joker speaking, but my brain can only hear Dagda.
