Somehow I lost the whole project.
Lucky I had deployed it for playtest, which is currently happening.

It is likely I'll need to fix some details, but, having lost the project makes it not possible to open in the editor.

Is there a way to "reverse" the deployment?

    I used MV version 1.0.1

If you used 1.0.1 your deployment should be unencrypted, as encryption was added in 1.3 or later. Check the deployed project, there still should be a project file to open.

If it's encrypted, it can still be recovered, it'd just be a little bit more work.

@Zalerinian since breaking an RM game's encryption is against the EULA, it's impossible to legally recover an encrypted RM game's project. (And any discussion promoting breaking the EULA is not allowed on these forums, as they're company-owned.)
But this is really starting to derail the original post, since bgillisp has already stated that the version the OP is using doesn't support encryption.

Good point. @Cezar_cr, does what @bgillisp said help you?

I mean... you realize that we literally have the code that decrypts the game, right? Using the code we're given in a project for recovery, so long as it's not a project we do not have the rights to, would be ridiculous to be a breach of EULA.

@Zalerinian The problem is a legal one, not one of work or capacity.
No one here on the forum can be allowed to discuss breaking the encryption, so please stop this part of the discussion

Plus, unless they used an outside encryption program, 1.0.1 had no encryption capacity. It was added later. So, the entire project, with project file should be there still. Otherwise they used a different version of MV than stated.

Thank you, lads, for the quick replies.

So, when I try to open a project, the system looks for *rpgproject type of file.
I've looked over the "Output" folder and subfolders (which is all I have left) and there's none.

About the version, it is 1.0.1. At least it says so in "about"

I'm attaching a ss of my output folder. "Saving Lilly" is a file generated through Enigma virtual box.

Is there any other way to open those fies in the editor?

If you used Engima, there is nothing we can do. You'll have to ask the company that made it, and odds are high they won't be able to do something as breaking encryption runs into a lot of legal issues.

Edit: Though, shouldn't that file called game open the project? That looks like a project file to me from what I can see.

can the project still be started with the index.html inside the www folder?
If yes, the enigma package was only added, and you can still access the project.

simply make a new project, copy the missing project file from there to this folder and try to open it.

@DebtCo Please in the future just start a new post, and refer back to the old one if possible. Thanks.
