Anyone figure out how to turn on the map grid in the editor?

Or is this another feature Ace had that MV doesn't?

In Ace you could set a Map Grid with a  custom Horizontal/Vertical size.

Well that's a huge disappointment, it was a very useful feature.

Guess I will be making maps in VXAce and then porting them over :(

Why do you need a grid that much ? You should be able to use other elements of your map as reference.

It makes creating World maps where each Grid square represents an actual map much easier.

It is excellent for planning large multi map worlds with many connections and seeing how it all connects on a world scale.

Within the Grid square, each tile represents something that would be there in the final full sized map.

Doing it this way, I can design the entire world on a single map, see where all the towns are, whats in each town, where all the dungeons ect.

Not having the grid makes it difficult to see what is in each map, where before i could tell at a glance.

whoa!  That was a feature?

It's not really the same, but if you're not using regions for anything you could paint your regions as the squares in blocks of alternating ids - once you get a "grid" of 4 blocks, you can then copy/paste them over the map.

Yeah I use this feature a lot myself since it's like where in the camera the player will see sort of thing. I'm sad it's gone too ;~;

What I've taken to doing, is create a template map with a grid laid out on it already, sized at maximum of 256 x 256.  Using the rectangle tool, I draw a black line every 20 steps.  It takes a little time to set up initially, but then I just copy/paste the template when I need a new map, resize it accordingly, and it's ready to go.  Did this in Ace too, didn't realize it had a built in grid.  *sigh*

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
