The Setting and Lore are pretty flexible and open. The rules of magic are only established so people are on the same page and in the same playing field. They're rather minor, and should be easily interpreted.
The same goes for our open setting with it's many places, races, and technology levels. It allows people a both a guideline for creating and puts people on the same page, while allowing creative freedom.
As for the time requirements, you only need 45 minutes a day, or 2 hours a day over Fri/Sat/Sun. The minimum work requirement is make 3 short games over a period of 4 months. Most the work for those games are already laid out, so you're mainly focusing on building skill sets.
But you are always welcome to sit back and watch the first semester to get an idea of what students go through, then join us on the second semester! We'll look forward to seeing you!
