Hi, all!

I purchased RMVXA a while ago on Steam and being a newbie, I make the most simple, ridiculous mistakes. It happens, especially when you're like me and you insist on making your first game fairly complex. Currently I'm trying to get a demo up for people to test, but I've been having constant small, weird errors the Steam community just won't help me with. Honestly, I'd really like if someone experienced could reach out and sort of help when I have these little mistakes. But oh well. I'll just mention two of the problems at the moment.

The first problem!:
I've been having issues in two and now more of my maps in which when the player avatar enters the map, they become unable to move. The avatar can turn about, sure, but it won't move. At first I thought it might've been the custom tileset, but I checked and it was fine- especially because other maps with the tiles have been fine. A steam user suggested it might've been a stray autorun event, but I've checked everything thoroughly and it's fine. What's going on???

Second problem:
For some reason the text window is an entirely different colour from what's selected? I specifically picked out a really nice sort of burgundy red, but when I've tested today it's a clear-ish sort of neon teal, like the scheme was inverted or something. I've checked the system tab and it's still set for red but when I test- blue. I'm very confused and tired, please help.

1) if you can turn but not move, then it is a passability problem in your tileset.

Most likely the first tile of the B sheet is set to something other than star.
The first B tile has to be set to star or the passability of the entire tileset will be broken.

The font color is normally set by what's in your window skin.

Open up the folder Graphics/System and look at the image 'Window'. The font color is usually the first one (top row, left corner). What color is that?

The game file itself in my documents doesn't seem to have a window image - or any images at all, and the one in the original RPGVXA is dark grey. Is it supposed to be missing the file? And... should I copy it over or...?

Yeah, that was it. I'd done the star for two of my tilesets and then missed the others. Thank you so much!

No, if your game doesn't have its own the default rtp is automatically used.

So the question is how and where did you change the color? Most likely you used a setting that has nothing to do with Text color.

I just changed the window colour in the database? I didn't touch anything to do with the actual text, the problem lies with the window being an entirely different colour from what I chose in the database.

That makes things slightly easier for us :)

You could just export the windowskin into your project's Graphics/System folder (keep the name the same), then edit it and change the colour from blue to red.

Is the colour that shows the same as the colour in the window skin when you look at it through the resource manager?

Unfortunately, it's still doing the same thing. I exported the windowskin into the system folder and left it grey in the hopes it'd at least get rid of the blue, and then tried it again with red. No change. I don't get why it's red on the titlescreen/for the first text of the game and then it goes blue???? I took screenshots this time though:

I have done this for several people and its usually faster to solve a problem.

Are you willing to send me a PM with your game? I can work on it and let you know when I found the problem.

Yeah, okay- I'm not going to get it fixed otherwise.
