RMVXA Parallax Background Issue

I've been trying to make a game in RPG Maker VX ACE, and for some reason every time I add a parallax background, it never shows, just completely black. In the editor, it's fine. I need help trying to fix this.

we need some numbers for this
how big is the map (in tiles) and how big is the parallax picture (in pixels)?
what is the name of the parallax?
does the parallax show in the editor?
do you have any script for either parallaxing or overlay mapping installed? If yes, please link to it

Maybe, you can try to backup (copy paste them somewhere) your scripts
that related to parallax and delete them one by one and check the result.
I do that often to find incompatible scripts manually. XD

please answer all my questions, I can't help if you don't give full answers
you never gave the parallax size, and I need the full name of the parallax including the name attachment/format ending.

The ! has no function in Ace by the way, that was only introduced by MV. Because of this you NEED a script for parallax or overlay mapping in Ace.

In one post you said that the size of the map was 125 x 25. I am assuming that means 125 tiles by 25 tiles, so a total size in pixels of 125x32 and 25x32 which equals 4000 x 800.

You then say that your parallax size (I assume in pixels) is 2006 x 778.

Your parallax has to be the same size as your map.

Also, you have not specified which parallax script you are using (this is Ace, you need one) or whether you are trying to do this without one.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
