[RMVXAce] Door, entering without using action button

I'm new to RPG Maker VX Ace and im really wanna know how to do this stuff.

My problem is I want to enter a door without using the action button.

But with just the use of direction button.

Here's a screenshot of the event and map

And here's the catch

I tried "Conditional Branch.." and used "Player is Facing up"

but it requires you to enter the ground(event) facing up to trigger the event.

so when the player enters the ground(event) facing right and faces up nothing will happen unless you goes down again and up

causing the player to enter the ground(event) facing up and triggering the event.

I just can't seem to get it right.

I want the event to trigger even when the player enters the ground(event) on other direction then faces up.

Couldn't you just set it to player touch and put it on the door? You can leave the facing up part in if you'd like to keep it, but wouldn't that also work?

Try moving the events up a tile onto the lockers and setting the priority to "Same as Characters." That should get the effect you're looking for without the conditional branches.  :)

But that will have to set the door to passable right?
I don't want that to happen since the door should be locked
and in my game that (screenshot) it isn't even a door ^_^

They're right. Read GrandmaDeb's posting on Event types (Action, Playet Touch, etcetera). It will tell you all you need to know about which type to set it to.

voymasa, thanks for the additional info. I was into this "door" keyword I wasn't able to find what I was looking for ^_^

now I know it should be "Priority" (thanks to Hollow) I should be looking for ^_^

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
