I had a feeling this was fake. I'd instantly buy this if it was real. I love RPG Maker 2000/2003, and would gladly pay for it.

Ah, I remember when all the tutorials for tile sets were about how to make tiles for this.  Back when the internet was young and I had no idea how to pixel art!

The graphics look like they came from an NES. :guffaw:
SNES you mean. NES looks a lot worse.

On a side note, I have my old 2000 project I spent 4 years working on. Now I'm tempted to see if I can recreate it in VX Ace, using Ace's RTP instead for 2000's.

Keep clicking on the link until it comes true. Seriously, this would be an instant purchase for the nostalgia factor alone.

People have been demanding the older makers for a while, that's part of the reason for the joke. If we could figure out a way to make it available to everyone we would, but the background work is more complicated than it seems and most people wouldn't be willing to pay the price point we'd have to set for something that old.

I definitely fell for this one, but I was thinking more "Hmmm, seems odd to release an entirely new game when the current one is going strong."

The strangest April Fool's joke I've heard was when the BBC, in its usual matter-of-fact deadpan delivery calmly remarked that the spaghetti crops weren't going well this year, so the spaghetti prices would go up.  They showed workers taking cooked spaghetti off trees.

A fairly large number of people fell for it, because it was the BBC pulling the prank, and at the time, in the UK, spaghetti was mainly distributed in cans, so many didn't really know where spaghetti came from.

I don't know if the reason "Why" is true, but that was an interesting April Fools joke.

I know it's a joke but you'd make an absolute fortune if you actually did this. I'd buy it.

Oh you had me for a while. I was so amazed, and then the harsh reality of things strikes in. So cruel.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
